ABOUT VOLUUM
History
Following Google's mantra of "do no evil...", Voluum started in 2001 as a not-for-profit company providing free website hosting and design services to bands and artists across Canada. Voluum hosting services quickly grew through word of mouth to start providing hosting solutions to small and medium businesses. As a natural progression to providing hosting services to businesses; Voluum's e-commerce and business solutions for businesses grew into a full distribution services company; providing point-of-sale systems, credit card, labeling, and shipping services for online retailers. CEO, Greg Adams' vision of Voluum becoming a multinational company is quickly coming to fruition. With a passion for music and a number of contacts in the music industry, Greg has decided to take the expertise Voluum has gained in online distribution and marketing to take on the world of music distribution. In conjunction with the business and online services Voluum provides, we also have started a separate equity investments company, a research and development company, and a small publishing company.EXECUTIVE TEAM
Greg Adams
CEO, Secretary Treasurer, and Founder
Born in 1976 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Greg has always been a 'dreamer' in terms of business ideas. From a t-shirt design business in highschool using iron-on T-shirt transfers to his current venture in Voluum - Greg has always been one to make things happen and inspire others. Greg is a graduate of the Management Studies program at Grant MacEwan College and also holds technical certifications in the IT industry. With a love of quantum cosmology, theoretical physics and philosophy - you will often find Greg referencing one of his favorite scientists - Albert Einstein. Greg provided the following quote as a direction for which he wants to take himself and Voluum."A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Greg is a proud father and husband of two boys and a loving wife.
